Welcome to Year 6

We would like to welcome you to Year 6. This class is taught by Mr Robinson-Hoyle (a member of the Leadership Team) and Mr Clift (the Deputy Headteacher). We are both very musical and love our sport. We enjoy using a range of different teaching styles/approaches in order to help engage the wide variety of interests which we invariably come across.

Year 6 is always a very exciting and challenging year where the children are given the opportunities and experiences to help develop their resilience and independence. Although Y6 pupils take their SAT’s tests in May, we pride ourselves in ensuring a balance of academic and life-skill development.

Things to Look forward to

Y6 have a 3 night residential trip to London in the summer term. This is often regarded by the children as the highlight of the year.

Each December, the Y6 class put on a Christmas performance at All Saints Church.

World Book Day is on 5th March 2020 - always a great day of story and costume.

The Y6 Leavers' Concert' is in July of each year - handkerchiefs at the ready!
