Forky hunt!

In our English lessons we have had a lot of fun with Forky. First we made our own Forky and produced some fantastic instruction writing. Then when we arrived at school Miss Richardson’s Forky had gone missing! We searched around the school until we eventually found him hiding under the trees!

Remembrance Day

In Preston Curriculum, we spoke about the importance of poppies and why people wear them. We then made our own poppy pictures. We used water colours to paint the back ground and then added texture to our pictures by dipping celery and apples in red paint to make our poppies!

European Languages Day

Year 1 learnt how to say hello, their name and how to count in 10 in Spanish for European Languages Day. We then tried some Spanish food. We tried churros, olives and Spanish omelette. The churros were our favourite!

Pumpkin competition!

Year 1 decided to continue with the Toy Story theme for our pumpkin. We made the pumpkin into Forky and we decorated some sprouts to become the aliens! Some Toy Story friends joined us.
