Humpty Dumpty Pumpkin
We were given the task of decorating a pumpkin in our classes. Reception decided to make ‘Humpty Dumpty Pumpkin’ as that was the nursery rhyme we were learning that week. During the celebration assembly, Humpty Dumpty Pumpkin fell and unfortunately, the King’s men and King’s horses could not put him back together again.
Wear Yellow for Mental Health
For the charity Young Minds, the children came to school in yellow to raise money to help young people who struggle with their mental health. They completed mindfulness activities throughout the day, and thought about what made them happy at home and at school.
Nursery Rhyme Week
Reception took part in National Nursery Week. Over the course of the week, they learnt five nursery rhymes and completed activities on each. These were: Old Macdonald had a Farm, 5 Little Speckled Frogs, Miss Polly had a Dolly, The Wheels on the Bus and Hickory Dickory Dock. On the Friday, they had a nursery rhyme party.
