Sports Premium Funding 2017-2018

Objective Impact
Middlesbrough football club lesson delivery All staff have been able to access CPD due to P.E. sessions being delivered by the MFC Foundation. This means that the children are receiving expert knowledge by a trainer who is very knowledgeable in all areas on the National Curriculum. The MFC have also taken children to competitive events after school, which again allows children to receive side line training and support.
Gold package sports partnerships Training has been accessible for the P.E. lead and they have been able to develop their CPD and support from Stockton Schools Sports Partnership in light of the Ofsted requirements for the new curriculum. Different services have been offered to the school, including the use of student leaders during sports day and visits to the school to help develop a healthy life style. Help has also been available to apply for the Sainsbury’s School Mark.
Transport to fixtures Transport to events has been hassle free due to buses being booked on a regular basis to transport the children to and from local and distant competitions. This has meant that the children, who may struggle to find their own transport, have been able to attend events which they may have not been able to do previously. It has also allowed different teachers to attend competitions with the children.
Materials A range of play equipment has been bought for use on lunchtimes outside. We need to find a way into extending the activities on offer on a break time.
Improvements to outdoor facilities including brought forward balance The second phase of the all-weather surface has been laid. The children have nearly double the area that they had a few years ago. This has increased the amount of physical activity that has been able to go on.
