Year 2 Plant Bulbs at Preston Park

Last week, twelve Year 2 children went across to Preston Park to plant 5000 purple crocus bulbs!  They planted them on the bank leading down to the river with the help of two gardeners from Stockton Council. Year 5/6 Tag Rugby (05.10.16)

A mixture of Year 5 and 6 girls and boys arrived at Egglescliffe Secondary to take part in a Tag Rugby festival. We were group with Durham Lane and Junction Farm. In the first round, the children did really well, winning their first match but sadly losing their second.

Preston Primary School get to know the moon personally

Exciting rare samples of moon rocks and a collection of impressive meteorites landed at Preston Primary School, Eaglescliffe on 11th April for a week’s visit. Students were able to enjoy a unique, interactive experience of astronomy during their lessons.  Highlights included getting up close and personal with some hand-sized meteorites, enabling students to touch a real piece of space.  Included in the educational pack is a 1.2 billion year old…

The Innkeeper’s Breakfast

This Christmas Key Stage 1 performed the Innkeeper’s Breakfast to their family and friends. The children thoroughly enjoyed performing the play and sang the catchy songs with enthusiasm and pride. The narrators spoke confidently and clearly and the actors gave an Oscar winning performance. A big well done to all involved! We were very proud of you all.

Stockton Cross Country Competition 2015

The children in Years 3, 4 5 and 6 were given the opportunity to take part in a cross country competition. Mr Walton kindly came to school early and all children, who wanted to compete, were then asked to run four laps of the school field. Our Nursery Open Session was a huge success

The children loved showing their parents around our classroom. The parents enjoyed playing alongside their children in the different learning areas. There were lots of different activities which included: decorating crown shaped biscuits, using the wooden blocks to build a castle, decorating crowns, finding the king’s jewels in the jelly, making the king’s dinner in the castle and painting castles. The children had a fun filled morning with their parents.

Early Years – Sports Festival

On Monday 9th November, Nursery and Reception participated in a Sports Festival at Billingham Campus School. The children were very excited to meet Sporty Bear who was very friendly. The children participated in a variety sporting activities. The activities included: parachute games, team games, dancing and ball games.  All of the children thoroughly enjoyed the sports festival and were very enthused during all of the sporting activities.
