Introduction

The Governors are a group of people drawn from the staff, parents and the community who work together for the benefit of our school.

The Governors perform most of their duties in 2 main committees (Resources and School Improvement) which meet each half term. The full Governing Body also meets termly. The Chair of Governors is Kerry Stockley and the Vice Chair is Angus Watson, both are Parent Governors.

New Build – Exciting News

The Governors have been working for some time on a plan to incorporate all classrooms within the main building and improve indoor sports and drama facilities.

The Resource Committee have developed a plan, the first phase of which is the building of a new sports / performance hall and kitchen, followed by the conversion of the existing hall to 2 classrooms.

The building work began in May 2006 and the new hall and kitchen are now completed and in use. Thanks go to the PTA who raised a huge sum of money last year to provide all drama resources including a PA, sound and lighting system as well as the much awaited PE equipment. The spring term promises to be an exciting time with a celebration week before half term to mark this fantastic new development.

The Y6 and old kitchen horsa huts have been demolished and a car park made. Further landscaping is required and should be completed during the spring term.

The current Y6 class is temporarily housed in the old school Hall and we are currently awaiting news as to when work will commence on the conversion of this to two new classrooms
